I am going to reread this and come back with a better review in the beginning of next year. This book was extraordinary! So so much is packed into this book. I honestly had a hard time getting through the first 50 pages. But once I hit that mark, the pages flew by. The story begins in the early 1900s Korea, and rolls through four generations into modern(ish) day Japan. The writing style is straight forward and the story is compelling.
Easily became one of my top faves of the year!
